I made a bold claim a while ago that I felt James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy is one of the very best of the 21st Century, standing amongst other greats such as Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, Edgar Wright’s Three Flavors trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, At World’s End), and Dean DeBlois’ How to Train Your Dragon trilogy.
