What’s going on, everyone? This is your Captain speaking, alongside my esteemed co-host, the Animation Guru, and everyone’s favorite Crazy Lemur, Bri! This episode was recorded on a pretty special weekend for animation. KPop Demon Hunters was gifted a 2-day Sing-Along theatrical release, and topped the box office at $18 million (unofficially, since Netflix doesn’t report those). However, those headlines overshadowed the fact that Ne Zha 2 was also re-released, which wasn’t nearly as successful.
