One of the few upsides of the Oscars being held so late into the new year is that it does allow us time to reflect on how much healthier things seem to be now in terms of animation on the big screen compared to where we were a year ago. We’ve reached the end of the first quarter, and already we’ve seen two very good original animated features released by major studios. last month we discussed Sony Pictures Animation’s Goat, while today’s main topic revolves around Pixar’s Hoppers.
