Renegades Stand With Animation - Renegade Animation #155
In this episode, Captain Kaye and the Animation Guru are joined by a Crazy Lemur to explain the history of The Animation Guild, including two notable strikes, and why these ongoing negotiations with the AMPTP are important!
What’s going on, everyone? This is your Captain speaking, along my co-host, The Animation Guru! Today, we are joined by our editor extraordinaire Bri to talk about a very important topic that affects everyone in the world of animation, whether you’re in the industry, or just a fan. As you all are well aware, we here at Renegade Pop Culture are pro-union, and want to support The Animation Guild any way that we can. Anyone who wishes to directly support those in the industry who have been out of work for well over a year, or are living paycheck to paycheck can do so here. Now, without further ado, please tune into the podcast to hear the full discussion.
“We might have gone through two strikes last year, but we need to keep that same level of energy and support up for the animation guild that is fighting for their lives against a greedy and soul crushing industry.“ -The Animation Guru
