King of the Hill: Season 14
Admittedly, I was more of a casual fan of the series when it aired on Fox, but whenever I did catch reruns in syndication, I was always entertained by these characters. That’s what makes season 14 so damn near perfect, it maintains everything that made these characters stand out, while aging them up and modernizing the fictional town of Arlen, Texas. One of the beneficiaries of this time skip is Bobby Hill, who’s now an adult that co-owns a Japanese-German-American restaurant with Chane Wassanasong. Dale is still the most entertaining character, and is responsible for some of the funniest moments and/or full episodes in this season.
“King of the Hill finally returns and it doesn't skip a beat with what made the original show great. It moves the characters up in age and has them deal with topics like retirement, relationships, and some modern-day elements, but it doesn't feel the need to cater to current events. A show that has always been about the characters dealing with the changes of the time, and to find a means to keep connecting to those they love. It's the perfect revival and the ideal way to bring a show back after years have passed. It deserves all five bananas.“ -The Animation Guru
