The New Golden Age of Horror - Renegade Free For All #12

June 21, 2025 by Michael Kaye in Film, Free For All, Movies

This time on Renegade Free For All, Nick has been pressing Mike to do some kind of a horror episode. Especially given how many amazing films we have gotten over the last 5 years. Without a question, we are in the new golden era for horror movies getting critical acclaim and box office returns as a result. So here they are covering movies that we didn’t get a chance to cover on Marquee.

What’s going on, everyone? This is your Captain speaking, alongside my Jukebox co-host, the Super Saiyan Death Metal God! In case it wasn’t made abundantly clear, we love horror on this network, and will take every opportunity to sing the praises of various new releases. As it turns out, we are publishing this episode the same weekend that 28 Years Later hits theaters nationwide, and we will have more to say about that on the next Renegade Marquee. Until then, please tune into this podcast to hear the full discussion!

That’ll do it for this episode! Thank you all for joining us! We have provided a link to several GoFundMe pages in support of those affected by the 2025 Wildfires in LA. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10gvOxituYvxxknoY9IQa-YEqfK8WvCjcLBcg4hsmME4/edit?pli=1&gid=0#gid=0

Tonight's Renegade Marquee is 14 years in the making. Yes, Final Destination: Bloodlines is the first entry in the series in that long. Nick & Mike, being newer fans, cover the whole 9 yards. Even having the decency to pay tribute to Tony Todd. But, does the movie live up to the hype? Listen, find out, and RIP Tony Todd.
